Types of Air Handling Units

Air handling units are devices used to regulate the air in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. They are usually connected to a duct ventilation system to distribute the conditioned indoor air throughout the building. AHU manufacturers guarantee better indoor air quality, particularly in humid regions. Air handling units mix the fresh air with the return air from the building and pass them through air filters. Air handling units are manufactured in such a way that extract and supply of air are conducted in equal proportions in the ventilation system.

They offer high-performance level and reliability at low costs. Fan coils come under the smallest category AHUs. Filter is included in these units to keep them from getting dirty quickly. Fan coil units are the simplest form with the ability to serve single temperature zones. They are known to be less efficient than large AHUs in providing humidity control and tight temperature.
